Job Description:
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience:
Minimum of 1 year required License: Valid state license required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Post-operative
medical-surgical and PCU patient care experience required.
Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in
the PCU and medical-surgical units. Ratios for patient care are
approximately 1:3.5. Candidates must have experience in caring for
post-operative medical-surgical and PCU patients. First-time
travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required, every other
weekend. Clinicians will float within service line to meet facility
needs. There will be Nurse Practitioners available on the floor
during weekdays. House staff coverage is available 24 hours a day.
Phlebotomy services are offered during night hours. Assistive
devices such as Sit/Stand lifts and Hoyer lifts are available on
the floor. Hospital provides EKG machines and bladder scanners for
patient care. Travelers must comply with institutional policies on
vaccinations. References will be required at the time of
application. Candidates should possess experience with the
designated charting system. Candidates must meet all compliance
requirements prior to starting.
