On-site Hourly Description Kemco Aerospace is seeking an ambitious
Quality Inspector to assist our Quality Department for our St.
Louis, MO site, as detailed below. Kemco Aerospace is a
manufacturer of complex assemblies and precision components for use
in a wide range of aerospace and defense applications. Our company
works closely with large aircraft and weapon systems OEMs, such as
Boeing Defense, Bell, RTX/Collins Aerospace, Northrop Grumman and
several others. Crestview Aerospace provides key assemblies for
many in-service platforms (H-47, V-22, F-35, F-15, F-16, F-18,
KC-135, E-2, and weapon systems such as Harpoon and SLAM-ER. Kemco
Aerospace/Crestview Aerospace is comprised of two (2) manufacturing
sites, with operations in St. Louis, Missouri and Crestview, FL,
and employs approximately 350 professionals. Job Overview We are
seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Inspector to
support the inspection of precision-machined parts in a fast-paced
manufacturing environment. This role focuses heavily on hands-on
inspection and measurement, ensuring products meet engineering
specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate is
reliable, efficient, and comfortable working independently while
maintaining a strong commitment to accuracy and quality. Key
Responsibilities Perform first-article, in-process, roaming, and
final inspections on precision-machined parts Use a wide range of
inspection and measurement tools daily; inspection activities
comprise 90% or more of the role Read and interpret engineering
prints, drawings, and specifications to verify product requirements
Conduct detailed visual and dimensional inspections to identify
defects or non-conformances Accurately document inspection results
and complete required quality records and forms Communicate
inspection findings to the quality, production, and engineering
teams as needed Support additional quality department tasks and
initiatives as assigned Required Skills & Abilities Strong ability
to read and interpret engineering prints and technical
documentation Proficiency with measurement and inspection tools,
including micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread plugs, and
plug gauges Exceptional attention to detail in both measurement and
documentation Excellent visual acuity and ability to identify
defects Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a fast-paced,
distraction-prone environment Efficiency-driven mindset with strong
time-management skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal
supervision Ability to read, understand, and follow SOPs,
specifications, and inspection forms Quick learner with a high
level of trainability Strong, reliable attendance Preferred
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required;
technical training or certification preferred Experience in a
machining environment (quality or production) preferred Familiarity
with quality inspection processes and techniques Experience with
Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook,
