an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to support
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance Program. In
this role, you will be part of a high performing, cross functional
team building next generation, state-of-the-art capability. This
role is contingent on a future contract award. This position will
directly report to the BGS Product Support Central Maintenance
Management System (CMCS) Team Leader.This position will plan,
organize and direct all activity for design, development,
fabrication and delivery of the Central Maintenance Management
System (CMCS) Statement of Work supporting the integration of the
CMCS activity with the platform. A successful candidate will have
familiarity with development, integration and production CMCS
system hardware and software, as well as technical planning and
cost/schedule management. As Team Lead; the successful candidate
will hold RAA (responsibility, accountability and authority) to
complete a portion of the CMCS team statement of work and
deliverables for the program.Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and perpetuate a team culture of transparency,
collaboration and inclusion
- Develop, track and communicate metrics to quantify technical
and business performance, and organize all cost account management
and analysis for the maintenance management system team
- Establish and execute team operating rhythm and integrate with
program operating rhythm to align teammates and efficiently
disseminate information/direction
- Establish strong relationships with program customers and
stakeholders. Orchestrate collaborative sessions, facilitating
discussions among government customers, pilots, and product
engineers to refine program requirements and enhance product
designs
- Guide and mentor cross-functional teams to drive innovation in
the development of Central Maintenance Management System
solutions
- Plan, organize, direct and ensure technical excellence of all
work associated with Central Maintenance Management System
contracted requirements, hardware and software deliverables
- Proactively perform risk, issue and opportunity management
- Provide managerial and technical leadership in the development
of Central Maintenance Management System, Technical Design Reviews,
Engineering Design practices, and Model Based Systems Engineering
Development
- Provide technical subcontract management for all Central
Maintenance Management System supplier activities
- Strategize and implement product portfolio planning, including
the development of product and capability roadmaps
- Work closely with all applicable functions and other program
product teams to provide necessary people/skills, facility and
information technology resources to execute statement of work
according to cost and schedule commitments
- Work with applicable subject matter experts to define Central
Maintenance Management System integration with platform technical
approaches and ensures adherence to applicable engineering
standards and processesThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of
the listed location options.This position requires the ability to
obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires
US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance
Pre-Start is required.Special Program Access or other Government
Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.Basic
Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study
in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
- 10+ years of experience with systems engineering
- Experience managing team and leading development of complex
military systems
- Experience building relationships and partnering with customers
and all levels of employees, including executives
- Experience in a role that required building cross-functional
consensus among internal and external stakeholders to drive
business resultsPreferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience):
- Experience with MSOSA
- Experience with Model Based Engineering
- Experience with Real-time fault detection
- Experience with Real-time fault isolation
- Experience with Real-time root cause diagnosis
- Experience with Real-time false alarm mitigation
- Experience with Real-time prognosis
- Experience with Data management (for servicing, analytics,
troubleshooting, customer data programs)
- Experience with Vehicle configuration
- Experience with Vehicle interface to maintenance computers
- Experience with OFP software distributionTypical Education/
Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced
technical education from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
(e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work
experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and
experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12
years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is
the preferred, although not required, accreditation
