Supervise Warehouse, Beef, Pork operations and associates. Direct Warehouse and Production group to meet overall division goals while maintaining high quality standards, exceptional customer service, and a safe work environment. RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain proficiency in CSB ERP at the facility.Establish, Implement, and Maintain warehousing practices and procedures which result in accurate virtual inventory and on time deliveries.Perform cycle counts to verify virtual inventory.Train warehouse associates on CSB system and general warehousing functions.Supervise and Perform Warehousing and Picking operations.Execute yield and labor studies.Supervise Warehouse and Production staff and execute plans as directed by the Operations Manager.Train Warehouse and Production associates and participate in the continuous improvement efforts proscribed by leadership.Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe Warehouse and Production facility.Promote US Foods cultural beliefs and maximize the moral and productivity of the team through effective leadership skills.Works with Food Safety & Quality Assurance to maintain Good Manufacturing Practices, meet HACCP and OSHA requirements and maintain all USDA and GFSI standards. SUPERVISION Warehouse, Drivers and Production Associates QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; college degree preferred. Related Experience : A minimum of 3 years warehouse distribution experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience managing or leading hourly workforce; knowledge of beef and pork processing along with meat cutting experience pertaining to portion control techniques is preferred, knowledge of Warehousing Procedures. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Proactive, good at problem solving, good oral/written communication skills, effectively transmit knowledge. Good organization skills. Committed to high standards of ethics and integrity. Ability to motivate and energize people to achieve desired results. Experience supervising a team of meat cutters and packers is preferred. Strong skills in process improvement, measurement of output, production goals set to improve productivity. Computer skills required and Spanish speaking strongly preferred.
