Our office is conveniently located in Chesterfield, MO. In addition, we offer company paid Long Term Disability, Life insurance, an excellent 401k plan, paid time off, nine (9) paid holidays, a reliable bonus program, employee gift match program, and Summer-Time Enjoyment Program as well as multiple team bonding events yearly!DUTIES:As a Designer at Industrial Ally, you function as part of the team by:Adhering to company, department, and client standards and procedures,Having a general understanding of required structural calculations.Collaborating to prepare design deliverables that meet project requirements under general supervision of the Senior Engineer.Using data from other disciplines, as well as client and vendor information to prepare structural drawings.Designing a variety of industrial projects with extensive, advanced use of Revit.Developing knowledge of applicable codes.Act as Lead Structural on midsize and smaller projects; work with other designers and engineers as team member on larger projects.Have awareness of and track assigned projects budgets and schedule.Produce typical project deliverables, given General Arrangement drawings and equipment cut sheets.Review and accurately incorporate information from mechanical and electrical equipment vendor drawings into final deliverables.Recognize and enter all structural information necessary to produce detailed drawings.Accurately size, locate, dimension, and tag structural members and components on structural drawings.Understand layout requirements and selection criteria for structural connections, both designed and in-house and delegated, and other typical details.Display knowledge of structural codes including the IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI.Possess basic knowledge of structural concrete and steel sizing to create initial layouts.Develop preliminary structural calculations including project load criteria and analysis models.Perform shop drawing reviews.QUALIFICATIONS:As a Senior Designer at Industrial Ally, you bring to the team your unique gifts, talents, abilities, and your:Associate Degree in Design Drafting or equivalent education and experience.Ability to produce models and construction documents from Revit and/or AutoCAD.Minimum 10 years' experience in structural Design Drafting, with heavy industrial experience preferred.Minimum 5 years' experience producing structural models and construction documents from Revit, plus experience with AutoCAD and Office software.
