Edward Jones currently has more branch offices than any other financial services firm, and we continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The User Experience Strategist/Architect will be responsible for leading the strategic design, architecture and development of multiple, highly complex digital experiences for clients, investors and associates that support the firm's digital strategy and brand initiatives. These efforts require a strong degree of collaboration with business partners across the firm including Marketing, Client Strategies Group, Information Systems and other areas, as well as with external partners. As part of the creative team supporting client experience efforts, this associate will influence the perception of tens of millions of visitors to Edward Jones' digital properties and will play a key role in the perception of our brand.

As part of Edward Jones' internal agency, you will lead the experience strategy, design and architecture of Marketing's digital properties which serve millions of clients, investors and associates. In this senior level role, your expertise in user research, design and strategy will be applied across various portfolios to ensure a consistent user experience aligned to business objectives. This role will work with product teams, creative leadership and trusted external partners to understand and solve business challenges.Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand the needs, pain points, behaviors and emotions in the investor and client journeys in the context of the digital and broader brand experience.
  • Lead the strategic design, architecture and development of multiple, highly complex digital experiences for clients, investors and associates that support the firm's digital strategy and brand initiatives.
  • Ensures that end users ' experiences feel consistent across digital properties, products and portfolios and complement offline experiences.
  • Serve as the UX design lead on multiple projects within the portfolio to ensure design and technical teams align to the broader UX experience and brand strategy.
  • May lead others on functional or virtual teams and/or freelancers.
  • Lead multi-functional teams - to determine appropriate experience architecture and desired outcomes across multiple user experiences, including project team, digital agencies and business areas.
  • Deeply understand firm's brand positioning and ensure brand is represented across all client and associate experiences - on or offline.
  • Establish a close working relationship with strategy, messaging and channel teams to ensure that look and feel of digital properties align to the firm's brand standards.
  • Identify emerging trends and innovations in the discipline of user experience design and mentor others to ensure the firm's user experience design capabilities align with industry and client expectations. Manage and translate end user research, facilitate structured brainstorming and ideation techniques, oversee rapid prototyping. Translate business strategies into user experiences, which may include persona development, workflow planning, wireframes, and low fidelity sketches.Establish regular communication cadence with business stakeholders to ensure research, design and development stay aligned to the firm 's digital strategy and brand objectives.Establish working processes to ensure UX is part of the project/product framework.
    B.S. in Digital Arts, Marketing, eCommerce, Design, Human Factors, Computer Science or related field required. Minimum of 7 years experience directly related to user experience or digital products.Minimum of 3 years experience as either a front end developer, interactive designer or digital experience project leaderExpert ability to apply Human Centered design principles and design thinking methodologies as well as ability to lead others in applying these methodologies.Strong working knowledge of responsive web and mobile-application design and development.Expert ability to gather requirements and lead site design to meet business needs. Highly proficient at gathering and interpreting user information. Expert project management skills.Expert ability to gather requirements and design sites to meet business needs.Passion to remain current with the research and best practices in the fields of creative design, usability, human factors and interface design. Strong written and verbal communication skills Working knowledge of multimedia technologies.

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
