MOHELA is currently searching for an outstanding individual for the position of Business Continuity and Change AdministratorLocated in Columbia, Missouri, MOHELA offers excellent benefits, including:

  • Dependent child tuition reimbursement after 1 yearStarting Salary - $80,000 to $90,000What You Will Be DoingResponsible for overall management of MOHELA Business Continuity and Contingency Plans. Facilitates with divisional units for ongoing development and maintenance of departmental plans. Supports coordination of business recovery activities in crisis situations. Maintains overall responsibility for Change and Configuration Management (CCM) functions, as required to support MOHELA business and compliance obligations. Supports audit processes and ensures all Continuity and CCM activities have proper auditability. Serves in backup/support capacity for some information security functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Change & Configuration Management - Lead implementation of Change & Configuration Management requirements applicable to designated infrastructure, system & application production environments - includes overall oversight of CCM processes and direct management of change request & change review board procedures. Owner of Change Management Plan and Configuration Management Plan documents required by FSA contract.
      • Change & Configuration Awareness - Facilitate awareness of Change & Configuration schedules and requirements by conducting regular change review board meetings and providing training to staff as needed.
        • Information System Asset Inventory - Develop and maintain an inventory process to track the disposition of information system assets for reporting purposes.
          • Risk Management - Support overall risk management objectives including evaluation system changes and impacts, business impact assessments and testing exercise results.
            • Continuity & Contingency Preparedness - Coordinate regular Continuity & Contingency preparedness assessments, planning activities and training exercises. Consult with management and other personnel regarding needs for data, computers, and communications, personnel requirements, processing schedules, and regulatory and legal responsibilities through a formalized Business Impact Assessment process. Owner of Business Continuity Plan, IT Contingency Plan and Business Impact Assessment documents required by FSA contract.
              • Testing, Reviewing & Reporting - Lead regular test and/or simulation schedules, along with post-test review and summary reporting to senior management.
                • Emergency Processes - Consult with departments to identify key personnel and contacts and establish notification processes for communicating in the event of emergencies.
                  • Disaster Recovery Ownership - Develop, document, communicate, and manage disaster recovery procedures and information throughout the organization through awareness, training and exercises. Owner of Disaster Recovery Plan required by FSA contract.
                    • Information System Functioning - Develop plans to continue information systems functions at other locations in the event of a disaster, such as a major power outage, fire, earthquake, hurricane, flood, or other event that interrupts normal computer operations.
                      • Information Security Support - Maintain proficiency in primary day-to-day security operational functions, such as review tasks, anti-virus support, secure mail gateway operation and incidental user requests.
                        • Audit Support - Support audit objectives by analyzing compliance and contractual requirements related to continuity and change processes. Be able to support audits as a primary liaison to the IT division with ability to quickly own and respond to auditor requests for documentation support and artifact delivery. Lead significant pieces of major audit activities associated with NIST 800-53/4.The Experience You Will Bring:Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field is preferred; direct experience leading business continuity objectives will also be considered. Three or more years in full-time business continuity leadership role is required. Change management administration experience is highly desired.Technical Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of IT Security, CBCP, Compliance Management, and/or ITIL foundations background.Qualities: Detail-oriented project management capabilities with ability to organize & prioritize tasks effectively. Basic technical background supporting communications, systems and application areas. High degree of independence and decision-making capability. Ability to work with all levels of technical and non-technical management and staff.
