Systems Lead Software Architect to join the Air Proprietary 2
Mission Systems team located in Berkeley, MO. This position will
focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)
business organization. The Mission Systems Lead Software Architect
is responsible for establishing software architecture, guiding
overall design, supporting its implementation, and
managing/refining it during subsequent lifecycle phases. The
architect will be the primary software technical point of contact
for Mission Systems. This role will be responsible for all Mission
Systems software across a variety of security levels, to include
software developed by a variety of suppliers. This architect will
help teams understand the compliance to software development,
related standards, and policy enforcement based on software
processes. This role will also coordinate with the Digital
Engineering Environment team, Systems Engineering, Customers, and
Program Leadership Position Responsibilities: - Develop and
maintain the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap and
vision working with the Platform Software Architect and Mission
Systems Chief Architect - Ensures software teams develop, document,
and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces,
and designs for software systems - Supports implementation of
containerized software architecture across multiple types of
hardware - Ensures compliance and supports policy enforcement for
applicable processes, reference architectures, and industry
standards - Tracks and evaluates supplier performance to ensure
product and process conformance to roadmaps, industry standards and
contracts - Ensures development of code and integration of complex
software components into a fully functional software system -
Oversee software verification plans, test procedures, and test
environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test
results to ensure software requirements are met - Plans, executes,
and documents, software research and development projects - Tracks
and evaluates supplier performance to ensure product and process
conformance to project plans and industry standards - Responsible
for coordinating across the Mission Systems solution team, Supply
Chain, the Digital Engineering Environment team, and Systems
Engineering - Trains and mentor's others - Works under minimal
direction Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): -
Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline or 22 years
equivalent related experience - 3 years of experience in software
architecture - 7 years' experience with C++, C#, Java, or Python -
1 years' experience leading software-related projects or technical
teams - 1 years' experience with requirements, design, development,
and test of software systems products Preferred Qualifications
(Desired Skills/Experience): - Bachelor, Master or Doctor of
Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering,
computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry - Experience
with embedded software architecture/development/design - Experience
developing mission systems software on aircraft platforms -
Experience with distributed and containerized software architecture
- Hands on experience developing on the Linux platform and Windows
- Experience with Agile software development and related processes
- Familiar open architecture constructs like Open Mission Systems
(OMS), Open Communication Standard (OCS), utilizing the Universal
Command and Control Interface (UCI) - Familiar with safety critical
software development - Experience with secure software development
environments at various levels of security - Active Secret U.S.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well
as market and business considerations. Summary pay range for Lead:
$177,650.00 - $240,350.00. Applications for this position will be
