Job Description Systems Administrator - Industrial IT Location:
Greater St. Louis (Chesterfield), MO What does the Experitec
Systems Administrator role look like? Our Systems Administrators
are part of our Engineering Services organization, which assists in
the definition, design, installation, optimization, and maintenance
of process control and instrumentation systems in our customers'
facilities. Our customers are largely manufacturing facilities or
plants and we serve many different industries including chemical,
power generation, refining, oil & gas, food & beverage, pulp &
paper, and water. This position provides an opportunity for an
entry-level individual who wants to learn more about the automation
solutions industry. Systems Administrators work as a team to
coordinate, maintain, and install control systems as part of
process control projects and support opportunities involving system
hardware design, software installation, network design,
virtualization, cyber security, 3rd party interfaces, data
integration, and backup and recovery solutions. Systems
Administrators work to establish strong relationships with
Experitec's customers. Through these relationships, our
administrator identify and address areas of improvement within our
customers' facilities. Our Systems Administrators work with plant
operations, process engineering, maintenance, and technical
support. What is the Systems Administrator responsible for? In this
role, you will be responsible for providing engineering and design
services to our customers required to maximize the security and
reliability of their process control systems. Some examples of your
day-to-day activities could include Scheduled System Maintenance,
System Design, System & Network troubleshooting, interfacing with
Customer IT & OT teams, and addressing process control issues while
onsite. The primary goal of your role would be to deliver quality
solutions and services to customers using the technologies provided
by DeltaV, DeltaV SIS, Asset Management Systems (AMS) and other
Emerson solutions. In addition to system upgrade and maintenance
responsibilities, you would be responsible for: Maintaining a
positive customer relationship to identify additional system and
service opportunities Support digital transformation initiatives
Performing process control equipment installation and startup
Proactively learning to apply new automation products on a regular
basis Embracing and reflecting Experitec's Core Values Achieving
technical knowledge of the products and services we deploy at the
customer site Serving the team through your technical knowledge and
technical leadership Design and support of Wireless HART instrument
systems and Wireless Ethernet systems Active Directory/DNS
configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting Typical work
assignments include: Developing and implementing control system,
backup and recovery, and cybersecurity systems design
Troubleshooting Windows and Emerson System Issues System
administration and system builds. Microsoft Windows based.
Performing engineering and design studies Automation system project
management and project administration Who can do this job? A
qualified candidate will have the following
attributes/qualifications/skills: Bachelors or Associates degree in
Information Technology, Networking, Electronics, Communication or
Computers Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing
