Edward Jones currently has more branch offices than any other financial services firm, and we continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.Edward Jones is seeking an experienced Technical Consultant to join the Incentive Compensation product team. Our team provides visibility into revenue and expense information to 17,000+ FA's, key to local branch operations. In this role you will work closely with other team members, IT leaders and product owners. The ideal candidate will support and enhance existing systems and develop technology solutions that enable the firm to attract and retain top talent.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Aligning business solutions and product value delivery to our strategies, technical roadmap, and digital transformation
  • Applying business and technical knowledge to ensure availability of our systems and to provide quality solutions for business and enterprise software needs
  • Providing guidance and training to less experienced developers on the business impact of the systems supported and the technical design of systems
  • Providing technology direction within the enterprise architecture
  • Providing leadership related to technical aspects of tools, methodologies, best practices and processes and standards
  • Researching technical improvements and taking the initiative to communicate/implement solutions
  • Participating and representing area in cross-functional groups
  • Proactively identify implications of a project inclusive of urgency, dependencies, and tradeoffs over multiple systems
  • Exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships across departments, business areas, and vendors

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
    • 7+ years supporting and maintaining Oracle E-Business or similar ERP experience. EBS R12.2 and Incentive Compensation module experience desired.
    • Experience in defect resolution of technical issues, including vendor patch application and performance tuning
    • Thorough knowledge of SQL including PL/SQL, Peoplesoft SQR and autosys
    • Experience with Java, Spring Framework, REST, Javascript, and XML a plus
    • Ability to perform analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility, costs and benefits
    • Embraces change and considers different approaches to issues
    • Experience in agile and/or SAFE practices
    • Takes personal responsibility to improve processes and systems
    • Ability to influence Team Leaders, Project Leaders and/or associates in a matrix organization
    • Ability to quickly understand a broad range of emerging technologies and apply to support firm objectives
    • Demonstrates the ability to provide strategic direction and technical leadership to align objectives with the overall Firm strategy

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
