ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM • 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week (must be indicated on submission) • 13-week assignment length • Every other weekend requirement • No call requirements • Patient ratio of 1:5-6 • Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed • Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation • 1 year Med Surg experience required (inpatient only) • Current RN license required (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri) • BLS from AHA required • ACLS from AHA preferred • Work with medical patients on 60-bed unit • Use EPIC EMR system • Equipment includes bladder scanner, vein finder, IV pumps, and wound vacs • Black scrubs required • Must demonstrate teamwork, dependability, and flexibility • Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 - April 1 • Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation • Coordinate patient care with other departments • Physical demands include standing/walking most of shift, bending, stooping, lifting patients with assistance Facility: This healthcare facility has been serving the South St. Louis County area for over 140 years, providing compassionate medical and specialty care.
