Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Details - Position: OR Tech / Surgical Tech - Unit: MMC7600 – Surgery OR Tech - Facility: Springfield Memorial Hospital (Memorial Health System – IL) - Start Date: February 23, 2026 - Contract Length: 13 weeks - First-Time Travelers: ? Not accepted - Work Location: 701 N 1st St Springfield, IL 62702 Schedule - Shift: Day Shift – 5×8s - Hours: 6:45 AM – 3:15 PM - Weekend Requirement: Once per month (16 hours total) - On-Call: Required as needed by department - Floating: Yes (within scope of practice) Facility Overview - Acute Care Hospital | Level I Trauma Center | Magnet Facility - 562 staffed beds - 23 ORs | 50–60 cases per day - Charting: Cerner - Scrubs provided - Parking permit required (no cost; completed during orientation) Required Experience – HARD STOPS - Minimum 3 years OR Tech experience - At least 2 years recent acute care / trauma experience (within last 3 years) - Trauma Level I experience – REQUIRED - Neuro experience – REQUIRED - Travel experience – REQUIRED - Must have experience in General OR, Teaching Hospital, and Trauma settings Required Case & Skill Experience (Must Have) - Neurosurgery: Craniotomy, Laminectomy/Discectomy, Lumbar Fusion - ENT: Direct Laryngoscopy, Radical Neck Dissection, Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy, Tracheostomy - General Surgery: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Colon Resection (Open/LAP), Hernia Repair, Mastectomy, Thyroidectomy - Orthopedics: Arthroscopy, Arthrotomy, Carpal Tunnel, Open/Closed Reductions - Trauma: Amputations, GSW/Stab Wounds, MVA (Multiple Injuries) - Urology: Cystoscopy, Nephrectomy, Ureteroscopy - Plastics: Free Flap – Microvascular - Emergency Management: Fire Safety - Robotics: Da Vinci Xi (preferred) Certifications - BLS (AHA or Red Cross only – RQI not accepted) - CST – Preferred K16 About LanceSoft Established in 2000, LanceSoft is a Certified MBE and Woman-Owned organization.
