Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: 2 years License: Current RN License eligible for licensure in the state Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only Must-Have Skills/Experience: 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown, Pre/Post Cardiac Care, Cardiac Telemetry, inpatient only Description: The role involves providing care to critically ill patients pre and post intervention. The RN utilizes the nursing process to deliver patient care in a specialized environment. Patient populations include pre/post cardiac catheterization lab patients and electrophysiology patients. The RN maintains professional accountability for patient care for assigned patients. This includes evaluating the overall effectiveness of the care provided. Coordination of patient care is required in conjunction with other departments. The RN ensures patient rights and confidentiality of patient information are upheld. Duties and responsibilities must align with established service standards. Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths is preferred. The department operates from Monday morning to Saturday evening. The unit cares for patients requiring specialized cardiac interventions and monitoring. Ideal candidates will possess strong teamwork and flexibility skills. Dress code requires all black scrubs with logo; certain unacceptable attire is specified.
