Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with
Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Springfield,
Illinois, 62781! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid Hours per
Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required
License: Must have active state license or be in application
process Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC required Must-Have:
General Emergency Department experience with combined adult and
pediatric care. Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and emergency
response skills. Skills in interpretation and management of
dysrhythmias. Ability to manage patients with multisystem organ
dysfunction/failure. Experience in obtaining 12 lead EKGs. IV
therapy and phlebotomy skills, including blood product
administration and starting IVs. Administration of continuous IV
sedation and emergency medications. Management of IV vasopressors
and procedural sedation. Knowledge of neurological and orthopedic
cases. Experience with pediatric case management including
abdominal pain and asthma. Skills in handling psychiatric
emergencies. Proficiency in respiratory care including chest tube
insertion and intubation. Familiarity with isolation precautions
and triage. Experience with Cerner charting system required.
Description: Position involves working in a fast-paced emergency
department. The average daily census is 175 patients. The unit has
56 beds. Clinicians will work every other weekend. Candidates
should be flexible with scheduling as block requests can be
discussed with management. Candidates will not float outside their
scope to meet facility needs. Patients seen include those with
chest pain, trauma, neurological emergencies, and various
psychiatric issues. Special procedures may include procedural
sedation and blood transfusions. Active engagement with
interdisciplinary support services is expected. Candidates must be
prepared to manage high-acuity cases including both adult and
pediatric populations. All candidates must adhere to facility
policies and procedures throughout their contract. 5 Benefits of
