License: State License required. Certifications: BLS required. Must-Have: Weekend call rotation approximately every 5th weekend with possible holiday coverage. On-call is required as needed. Description: This position is for a perfusionist. The perfusionist will work a day shift consisting of five 8-hour shifts. A minimum of 4 years of experience is preferred, but first-timers are accepted. The role involves participation in a weekend call rotation approximately every 5th weekend with possible holiday coverage. State licensure and BLS certification are required. The perfusionist is expected to be available on call as needed. Discussion on schedule requests will take place with the manager. Preferred time off requests should ideally not exceed 5 days. The client may call off up to 36 hours during the 13-week assignment without payment for the canceled hours. If more hours are canceled than permitted, the client will be billed for the excess. If candidates are placed on call rather than being called off, that will count as a called-off shift. The facility is an acute care hospital and a Level I trauma center. Scrub colors will be provided, and charting will be done using a specific charting system. Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required for all travelers. The established background policy must be noted before any offer is finalized. Any permanent or PRN employee must be away for 12 months prior to applying for this position. Candidates must complete compliance requirements in a timely manner. Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays is mandatory.
