Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,236 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/9/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years ICU experience required License: Valid Nursing License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - Minimum of 2 years ICU experience - Past experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: Floating to multiple ICUs including Trauma, Oncology, Cardiac/Heart and Vascular, Neurology, Medicine, and COVID. We need strong, independent experienced nurses to float between ICUs. If there are no ICU needs, nurses will be expected to float to inpatient floors as a staff nurse. The nursing office staffs Oncology, Neurology, Med Surg, Medicine, Trauma, Heart and Vascular, and COVID. Patient ratio is 2:1 in ICUs for all shifts. Nurses will float to inpatient floors when needed with a ratio of no more than 1:3. Nurses may also float to non-critical care units if census is low in the ICU. Nurses may be asked to serve as a patient sitter if needed. Every other weekend requirement or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule is expected, in addition to holiday rotation. Special procedures do not require specific CVICU experience. Preferred skill set includes hemodynamic interpretation, management of vasoactive drips, and CRRT. BCLS and ACLS certifications are required. Chemo, CCRN, NIH, ONS, and TNCC certifications are preferred. Experience with vents, IV starts, telemonitoring, and conscious sedation are required. Triage, ICP, PA lines, and Level 1 Trauma experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to work with adults and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Pharmacy among others. Candidates will float within the service line as needed.
