Job Description Job Description Ophthalmology - Physician Opportunity at Our Organization We are looking for a fellowship-trained Oculoplastic Surgeon to join our team with a full-time academic role in the Department of Ophthalmology at a prestigious institution. This position encompasses clinical practice, surgical interventions, teaching, mentoring, and contributing to practice development within a top-tier Level 1 Trauma Center. The selected surgeon will work alongside a multidisciplinary team and will have the chance to spearhead a cosmetic oculoplastics service in a community with high demand. Our organization is in search of a dedicated, fellowship-trained Oculoplastic Surgeon . This full-time academic role in the Department of Ophthalmology presents a unique chance to join a growing academic practice alongside a highly regarded ASOPRS-accredited surgeon with nearly twenty years of experience and a strong focus on education and mentorship. Surgical Focus : The expected schedule includes 1-1.5 days in the clinic and 2-4 days in the operating room each week. With the addition of a new surgeon, we aim to create a more consistent weekly routine. Diverse Case Mix : The current surgeon specializes in ptosis repair, thyroid eye disease, and trauma/fracture cases. The incoming surgeon will have a significant opportunity to establish and lead a cosmetic oculoplastics service . Collaborative Care : You will be supported by a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) and a medical assistant. The clinic also includes a nurse practitioner who manages new and post-operative patients, enhancing surgical efficiency. Prime Location : Our clinic is conveniently located just three blocks from the outpatient surgery center and one block from the pediatric surgery center, facilitating seamless patient care.
