Additional Information About the Role - - - PCT Educator focusing on the onboarding, competency, and continued development of PCTs. • Full time, Cross County position. Primarily day shift with an occasional need to come in during evenings/nights/weekends to perform in services, ensuring competencies, developing preceptors/mentors, etc. • Masters preferred. Open to starting a program within one year. • Self-motivated to see a problem and proactively address it • Quick to pick up technology • Previous experience in teaching or precepting • Previous Professional Governance/Shared Governance experience • Strong time management skills - Splitting time between the two facilities (BJSP and PWH). The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services including the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital, the Breast Health and Women’s Center, the Cardiology Center, the Neurosurgery Center and the Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center and carries a Level II stroke certification. Additionally, the hospital’s medical office building houses offices for specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery and pulmonology. Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital also offers outpatient services including physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Creates and implement staff education and professional development activities and programs that optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities - Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates ongoing educational and professional development activities and programs for clinical and non-clinical areas. - Collaborates with staff and representatives of other organizations to develop, present and or evaluate clinically focused training, continuing education and or professional development opportunities. - Participates in activities that promote safety, quality and regulatory compliance. - Collaborates with leadership to assess the educational needs of the staff and develops appropriate education plan. - Participates in professional development and life long learning.
