This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric care and be able to motivate co-workers while maintaining relationships with staff and residents.   • Responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, and documentation.
  • Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on their assigned shifts.
  • Coordinates daily administrative duties, including schedules, nursing assignments, and patient care.
  • Over sees resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Monitors medical charts and provides compassionate care and assistance to patients and families.
  • Acts as a liaison to doctors, families, and administrators regarding changes in resident conditions.
  • Over sees the accuracy and completion of clinical documentation per Friendship Village policy and State/Federal regulations.
  • Gives and receives shift reports. Job Requirements:
    • Active RN or LPN license.
    • CPR Certification.
    • At least 6 months of nursing experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
    • Geriatric/rehabilitation experience with a good understanding of restorative nursing.
    • Thorough knowledge of best nursing practices, and state and federal regulations.
