PACUPost-Anesthesia Care UnitFull TimeProposed Schedule -10:00am to 7:30pm- 4 days a week -***Strong Critical Care experience required.**** - -Post-Anesthesia Care Units (PACU) deliver services to multiple surgical specialties in a hospital-based facility. - We are a high-energy unit which provides care for patients during the peri-operative process. - We have an exceptional unit highlighted by teamwork and dedication. -We have a wide variety of patients, entailing a mix of inpatient and outpatient procedures. This diverse nature provides many educational opportunities for all coworkers. Our environment collaboratively engages process improvements for the betterment of our patients, co-workers, and community. -PACU has excellent teamwork in a diverse setting. - There is a multi-disciplinary approach to patient care and procedures performed. - Our schedule allows for a well-balanced family and work-life. - - - -

• 28 bed unit made up of patients having surgery requiring moderate and general anesthesia.
• Variety of surgical procedures recovered including general surgery, orthopedics, neuro, cardiothoracic, vascular, bariatric, urology and more.
• RN ratio 2:1 and 1:1 with patients requiring higher level of care to stabilize. Tech support available.
• Monitoring of patient condition throughout sedation recovery.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• ACLS required with PALS completed prior to end of orientation.
• Fast paced environment requiring excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills
