Type: Full-time/Part-timeJob Summary:The Behavioral Health
Technician I position is responsible for providing direct and
supportive care to clients/patients. This includes monitoring daily
activities, intervening/responding to crises, facilitating group
education and structured activities, and transporting clients as
needed. Behavioral Health Technicians are responsible for
understanding the client's/patient's treatment plan, documenting
their behaviors, and providing a safe, therapeutic, and supportive

Responsibilities:Active Participation: Participate as an integral
member of the treatment team, assisting in identifying client
strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences. Carrying out any
additional requests from your supervisor.Program Compliance: Ensure
adherence to all program expectations and rules, reporting
behaviors to supervisors for effective therapeutic
interventionsMedication Policies: Adhere rigorously to all
medication policies and collaborate with trained nursing staff to
guarantee compliance, whether the medication is administered by the
client/patient or PFH associate.Admission/Orientation Assistance:
Assist in the admission/orientation process, including obtaining
vital signs if applicable, safety searches of client/patient and
belongings, and collecting any necessary urine/lab specimens for
testing.Client Education and Support: Assist and educate
clients/patients in performing daily activities as
needed.Transportation Assistance: Provide transportation support
for clients/patients as required.Knowledge, Skills, and
Abilities:Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing the treatment
of substance use and mental health disorders.Ability to communicate
clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.Ability to
interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure
manuals.Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication,
division).Proficient in writing routine reports and
correspondence.Ability to engage with clients, staff, families, and
community members.Ability to apply common-sense understanding to
follow instructions and solve problems.Basic keyboarding skills and
ability to navigate electronic medical records.Ability to establish
rapport with clients while maintaining professional
boundaries.Experience and Education Qualifications:High School
diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible
employment.Experience in Human Services or a related field
preferred.ORExceptions to qualifications may be made by the
Executive Team member.Employment Requirements:Successful completion
of background checks, including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect,
and fingerprint checks.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the
beginning of employment.Completion of required training including
Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.Valid
drivers license, acceptable driving record, and current auto
insurance.First Aid certification within three (3) months of
employment and upon renewal.CPR certification within three (3)
months of employment and upon renewal.Medication Administration
according to program standards.Completion of Behavioral Management
training (CPI for Residential programs or Crisis Management for
Outpatient programs).Completion of 36 hours of required training
within two years in accordance with 9 CSR 10-7.110 E1.Must complete
40 hours of related training annually.Extensive knowledge of
program policies, procedures, and regulations.For Adolescent
Program:Within six (6) months of employment, receive training on
adolescent behavior, family dynamics, communication skills, incest,
sexual abuse, physical and emotional abuse, stress management, and
