environmental leadership and expertise to the industrial operations
across all regions and business units within North America. Provide
environmental leadership and expertise as a business partner to
commercial and corporate functions. Work with the corporate
environmental team and business unit operations leaders to serve
and support plants with the execution of environmental programs and
plans that reinforce our environmental policy and culture by
continuously improving our environmental compliance and
sustainability performance. Position reports to the North American
Environmental Director.Main Accountabilities:Provide technical
support and professional expertise to the industrial operations
leadership and plants to raise awareness and improve Bunge s
environmental culture in North America and globally.Provide
technical support and professional expertise to commercial and
corporate functions to ensure environmental aspects and impacts are
factored into decision-making process.Perform internal
environmental audits to ensure compliance with legal and other
requirements including Bunge Production System, Environmental
Sustainability Pillar requirements. Provide support to industrial
operations to determine appropriate corrective and preventive
actions when deficiencies found.Provide assistance to industrial
operations to implement Bunge s Environmental Management System and
the Bunge Production System.Manage one or more environmental
compliance functions/program areas/media and develop procedures and
guidance for industrial operations to facilitate and improve
environmental compliance performance as necessary.Participate in
root cause analysis for serious environmental incidents, assisting
in the identification and evaluation of appropriate corrective and
preventive actions.Drive on-time completion of environmental
compliance tasks and audit corrective/preventive action
items.Provide training to plant managers, plant EHS managers, and
others as necessary to ensure compliance and continual improvement
of environmental performance. Improve training programs
periodically to ensure that training is appropriate and
effective.Work as partner on project teams (capital expenditures,
maintenance, etc.), managing the environmental aspects of the
project, ensuring required permits, approvals, etc. are obtained in
a timely manner to support the project timeline.Participate in and
manage meetings with local, state, federal, and provincial
authorities to resolve issues related to environmental performance
at operating locations.Manage due diligence projects related to the
acquisition and/or divestiture of assets.Actively participate in
trade association meetings to ensure that environmental issues
related to Bunge s businesses and operations are advanced and
addressed.Experience/Requirements:Bachelor s degree in engineering
or closely related field.6+ years of environmental management and
permitting experience working with multiple site in multiple states
or 5 or more years of experience with PE certification.Professional
and working knowledge of US federal and state environmental
regulations and laws is required. Some knowledge of Canadian
environmental regulations and laws preferred.PE Preferred; other
professional environmental certifications desired.Environmental
Management System (EMS) implementation experience.Professional and
working knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and air pollution
control equipment.Air dispersion modeling experience
desired.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong
facilitation/presentation skills with the ability to influence
others.Strong organizational skills.Strong interpersonal skills
with the ability to communicate at all levels of the
organization.Demonstrated ability to work independently.Must
possess leadership and people management skills.Fluency in English
required.Proficiency in the use of personal computers and related
business software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint,
