Communications & Portfolio Manager

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role as Communications & Portfolio Manager, you will work on a global team and be responsible for driving awareness, adoption, and enablement of Science, Competitor, and IP Intelligence (SCIPI) resources, capabilities, and services across Bayer Crop Science. You will collaborate with teammates, subject matter experts, scientists, R&D leaders, and other stakeholders to identify, evaluate, and manage key external vendor relationships and resources to support the SCIPI vision of "Insights for Innovation" and the broader needs of Bayer Crop Science.

The primary responsibilities of this role, Communications & Portfolio Manager, areto:

  • Develop and executeScience, Competitor, and IP Intelligence(SCIPI) communications and marketing strategy - including SCIPI newsletters, resource promotion, event-based outreach, new hire engagement, and more;
  • Own and refine SCIPI Portal - an internal facing site which catalogs and makes available a wide array of SCIPI resources, along with various partner resources (go/SCIPI);
  • Create and edit internal communications' materials (written, imagery, video, etc.) working with SCIPI and key stakeholders to collect content ideas (newsletters, internal social media, presentations, etc.);
  • Partner with SCIPI team members to identify and evaluate resources to be included in the SCIPI portfolio - including market studies, information vendors and subscriptions, digital solutions, and more;
  • Serve as key relationship manager for critical external portfolio resources;
  • Drive utilization of portfolio resources within SCIPI and with broader Bayer Crop Science community;
  • Generate and leverage metrics to refine activities and inform strategic decisions related to communications, outreach, and portfolio decisions;
  • Build cross-functional relationships to further the mission of SCIPI.

    Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience;
    • Capable of working autonomously or collaboratively as part of a team;
    • High-level proficiency with written communication in English; other languages are a plus;
    • Experience with content creation and management tools - including written, images, video, etc;
    • Knowledge of the agriculture industry or willingness to learn.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Master's of Science degree with at least 5 years of experience, or PhD with at least 3 years of experience.
