Position Summary:

This role manages the financial planning and performance management processes to oversee and drive optimization of the Corporate reporting segment, including the portfolio analysis, periodic forecasts, and monthly performance cycle and related analysis. The role will oversee the analysis of the quarterly results to inform and assist in the preparation of the quarterly earnings press release. The role will assist in the department's mandate to oversee governance, reporting, and tracking for external and internal KPIs and metrics.

This role is a key contributor in the preparation of presentation materials to support the CEO, CFO, SVP- Treasury and FP&A, VP-Investor Relations and other senior leaders (eg: Board meetings, Earnings guidance, Investor updates, ExCo/SMM meetings, etc), and has one direct report, the Senior Analyst, FP&A - Corporate.

Core Functions:

Performance Management

  • Manage the creation and delivery of prescriptive, streamlined, and effective formats for performance management analysis for use across all business units and value chains, including evaluating potential alternatives to address gaps/shortcomings.
  • Liaise with Corporate Functions and Value Chain Finance Partners as necessary.
  • Assist in the tracking of internal and external reporting metrics and KPIs including coordinating, building, and maintaining reporting hierarchies to align with an evolving organizational structure.
    Monthly / Quarterly Performance Management Cycle

    • Drive the preparation of monthly results analysis, understanding differences versus forecast, prior year and trends; highlighting risks and opportunities and distributing a snapshot of key information to Bunge's Exco and other key stakeholders
    • Drive the preparation of quarterly FP&A deliverables supporting the Earnings Call process, completing in depth analysis for the Corporate reporting segment, ensuring reports and key messages are clearly and concisely delivered to the CEO, CFO, and Investor Relations.
    • Financial Forecasting - coordinate with Value Chain and Business Unit Finance Leads on key forecast drivers and submission requirements. Lead the Corporate FP&A team in consolidating Bunge's global forecast, with focus on EBIT, ROIC and EPS. Oversee preparation of the Forecast package report for the global ExCo.
    • Continuously work to improve the performance management process, streamlining materials and tools and to improve and streamline the deliverables and enhance the quality of the data
      Other

      • Assist in the Strategic Planning Process, including planning and coordination in addition to preparation of materials and presentations for review by the CFO, ECO and Exco.
      • Assist in direct support where needed to the CFO and other Corporate functions in preparing information for the investor community, including earnings call and other events (e.g., shareholder meetings, etc.), the executive committee, the board, or other needs related to financial planning and financial performance
      • OneStream System Opportunities - work directly with the OS team in optimizing FP&A enhancements in through build out of key monthly reports in OneStream.
      • Prepare analysis and benchmark against BG results competitors that operate in the same industry and subset of the defined external reporting segments; provide analysis and benchmarking to Management and other stakeholders
        Skills/Experience Requirements:

        • Ability to work independently, maintain objectivity and deliver results
        • Strong communication skills; ability to articulate complex matters/issues in a clear and concise manner
        • Solid knowledge of financial performance analysis tools and techniques
        • Ability to think creatively and identify/explore alternatives
        • Knowledge of Accounting, Tax and Treasury
        • Fluency in English; other languages (especially Spanish/Portuguese) a plus
        • SAP and OneStream experience a plus
        • Demonstrates understanding and personal commitment to Bunge's core values and willingness to actively advance Bunge's key capabilities
        • Strong computer skills, proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
        • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt and influence others to meet common business objectives in the best interest of Bunge
        • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, agricultural economics, and/or a related discipline
        • Minimum five years of experience in either relevant Industry and/or Finance-related functions.

          Must be able to work independently; exercise practical judgment, business and financial knowledge, and creativity in finding solutions to overcome internal or external issues; collaborate and work cross functionally with colleagues located outside of the employee's assigned home office.
