Position Summary:As the demand for energy has skyrocketed globally in recent months due to resurgent economies emerging from the pandemic, energy feedstock commodities and everchanging political landscapes; oil, natural gas, coal have soared to multi-year highs sending power prices surging to record levels as widespread energy shortages hit Asia and Europe.With the potential for 25% increase to our Global Industrial Operations Energy spend for 2022; It is clear the Global Industrial Operation team must place focus on optimization and minimizing energy volatilityin our existing operations and on Bunge's portfolio of growth projects. The Global Utility Manager is responsible to develop and govern global standards on utility technologies aligned with business strategies by representing as a subject matter expert for design standards, process, performance across all industrial utility platforms for Europe, Asia, North America, and South America. This role will support the EnWG and other Manufacturing Excellence working groups to optimize industrial operations utility assets while working to leverage technologies that reduce global industrial operations energy and emissions.Core Functions:Serve as the "Go To" for anything utilities within Global Industrial OperationsCollaborate with Manufacturing Excellence working groups and partnering vendors to develop and oversee the creation of utility design standards and KPI policiesCollaborate with operations and project teams to develop and implement utility optimization/operations trainingLead facility assessment efforts in utilities Collaborate with ME Working Group and partnering vendors to develop roadmap for the global utility technology strategy, evaluating industry trends in biomass boilers, CHP, cogeneration, bagasse Impact/Dimensions:The Global Utility Manager to drive cost saving efforts across the Global Industrial Operations Utilities portfolio while supporting the Energy Working Group with goals of $30M Cost Reduction in Energy and a 260,000 MT CO2e deduction in our Global Industrial Operations assets with a $250M investment. This position will provide utility selection knowledge that results in asset emission optimization that contribute to meeting our Scope 1 and Scope 2 science-based target reduction commitments.Major Opportunities and Decisions:The Global Utility Manager to be continuously aligned with Manufacturing Excellence Working Groups, Plant Operations to clearly provide overviews of our key utility assets and growth initiatives.Key Relationships, Stakeholders & Interfaces (External & Internal):Clear communication from the shop floor to Manufacturing Excellence Working Groups, to partnering vendors is required achieve optimal results in this role.
