Job Description:
Job Summary:
The CWI/NDT Manager performs inspections on welded products of
fit-up and complete welds on fabricated material. They utilize a
variety of technologies to inspect products and materials for
structural flaws. They assure consistent quality of production,
maintain and enforce quality manufacturing controls, validate
processes, provides documentation, and manages staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain systems to establish standards related to
Quality Control activities and products, and measures performance
against established standards.
Plan and direct activities concerned with development, application,
and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes,
materials, and products.
Analyze and write test procedures; maintain documentation of
results; and consult with Department Directors and other personnel
in resolution of problems.
Directs employees engaged in measuring and testing product and
tabulating data concerning materials, product or process quality
and reliability.
Effectively communicate and resolve issues arising out of the
production processes, as related to quality, across all levels of
the organization.
Maintain all project related inspection documentation, and monitor
adherence to standards and actively checks for accuracy of data
received or generated before passing it on.
Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions
on quality control activities.
Ensures that the Company and Employees maintain appropriate
certifications and maintains records of them.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field.
Current certification as an AWS Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)
Current ASNT SNT-TC-1A for Level II Certification in Magnetic
Particle and Dye Penetrant inspection processes and be familiar
with non-destructive testing methods.
--- Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum of five years of quality management experience.
Five plus years as a MIG/TIG welder.
Able to maintain CWI level III status
Work Hours:
Standard work schedule, overtime may be necessary for meeting
deadlines, required travel, and emergent conditions.
Travel Requirements:
This position may involve travel up to 20% of the time.

Identifies problems and review relevant information to develop
options, then implement the solutions.
Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause
of errors or other problems or defects.

and customers.
Physical Demands:
Medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles
and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long
distances or moving from one work site to another.
Visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and
operation of machines.
