Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an
organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve
as Budget Analyst. Under administrative direction, this position
will review, analyze, and prepare grant budget requests,
particularly for non-board line items. The position will direct and
monitor the development of spending plans and availability of funds
for all grant line items on a statewide basis and will provide
input into the completion of the Department’s Annual Progress and
Services Report and Child and Family Services Plan. This position
provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is
interested in playing a role in ensuring that DCFS implements sound
fiscal policies and procedures in the administration of the agency.

Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental
development equivalent to completion of four years of college,
preferably with courses in business or public administration
Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative
experience in budgetary planning and operations in a public or
business organization Preferred Qualifications 3 years of
professional management experience in the area of finance in a
public or business organization 3 years of professional experience
directing and/or monitoring the development of spending plans in a
public or business organization 3 years of experience analyzing
historical spending and projected expenditures using computer
database programs, spreadsheets, and software 3 years of
professional experience developing strategic financial plans in a
public or business organization 2 years of professional experience
serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organization
Conditions of Employment Requires ability to pass a background
check. Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties.
Requires appropriate, valid driver’s license. The conditions of
