That team is expanding, and we currently have exceptional opportunities to help our communities grow.Business Risk Services (BRS) is a Mercy wide function that works collaboratively within an enterprise risk management framework, focusing on financial risks. BRS is responsible for assessing risk areas and for developing a plan to gain a more in-depth understanding of significant risks to the organization, while evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control environment. This function performs risk assessments, reviews, and internal audits throughout Mercy and provides assistance to Mercy's external audit firm.Senior Analyst will assist in the performance of risk assessments, reviews, and internal audits throughout Mercy. Participates with all aspects of fieldwork for audit projects including planning and executing the audit, development of the audit program, coordination of fieldwork, documenting and evaluating audit results and report writing. Expected to understand significant business risks and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal control environment. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy?s mission, values, and service standards.? Travels to other Mercy communities approximately 5-10% of time.Qualifications:Because you?re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That?s why you?ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:
- Education: B.S. degree in accounting or related field, Masters preferred.
- Experience: Three to five years auditing, accounting, or business analysis experience, preferably within the healthcare industry.
- Other Skills?& Knowledge: - Knowledge?of audit standards and practices with strong analytical capabilities.?- Ability to establish credibility and interact with all levels of management.?- Must be able to communicate clearly and establish and maintain effective working relationships.- Ability to identify internal controls and understand significant business risks to the organization.- Possesses project management skills related to time and task management.- Must be proficient with computer software, primarily MS Office (Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
